David Jarrard, MD

About

David Jarrard, MD, is a UW Health urologist. He’s also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Urology.

Dr. Jarrard diagnoses and treats cancers of the prostate, urinary tract, kidney and bladder, with a strong focus on prostate cancer. He provides comprehensive cancer care and is skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

To understand their experiences, goals and expectations, Dr. Jarrard listens carefully to his patients. He takes time to educate people about their condition and treatment options and partners with them to develop a personalized plan of care.

Dr. Jarrard appreciates the access to cutting-edge technology and research at UW Health. He feels that his patients benefit from advanced treatments that aren’t yet available anywhere else in the area. They also benefit from the care of a multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists, including surgeons, radiation therapists and medical oncologists.

Dr. Jarrard is actively involved in research that focuses on prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Outside of work, Dr. Jarrard enjoys road cycling.

My goal is to maximize cancer treatment while minimizing potential side-effects from treatment.
