David Niemann, MD is a UW Health neurosurgeon and an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Niemann cares for people with blood vessel problems in the brain, including arteriovenous malformation, brain aneurysms, cerebral aneurysm, cavernous angioma and cavernous carotid fistula. He also treats stroke and intracranial atherosclerosis, which is narrowing of brain arteries.
His expertise includes endovascular neurosurgery, which uses small tubes placed through blood vessels to treat problems inside the brain and interventional neuroradiology. He also provides stereotactic radiosurgery, a type of focused radiation, as well as endoscopic spine surgery.
