Acerca de

Daniel Hammes, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in chronic pain management. Daniel treats patients with conditions such as chronic back and neck pain and osteoarthritis-related pain in the knees, hips, shoulders or other joints.

Daniel treats phantom pain, which patients feel in missing fingers, legs or other amputated limbs. He also helps patients with complex regional pain syndrome. This involves pain that’s more severe and takes longer to heal than expected. It can occur after surgery or other injuries or following conditions such as stroke or heart attack.

Daniel is skilled in performing outpatient procedures such as trigger point injections to ease chronic muscle pain and other types of pain. He takes time to get to know patients, listening to their concerns and ensuring that they’re comfortable with their treatment decisions and care.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys sailing, snowboarding and gardening. He also likes to spend time playing with his daughter and enjoying all that Madison has to offer.

I enjoy being around others and interacting with my patients. I truly feel that I'm able to find solutions and help the people that I'm taking care of.
