About

Dai Yamanouchi, MD, PhD, is a vascular surgeon at UW Health and a associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery. He treats conditions that affect the veins, arteries and lymphatic system.

Dr. Yamanouchi specializes in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced surgical techniques and leading-edge medical devices. He works closely with patients to understand their lives and define their goals. This allows him to create a personalized treatment plan. He takes time to answer questions and explain conditions, treatment options and what recovery may look like in terms they can understand.

Watching his patients get better is what inspires Dr. Yamanouchi. He appreciates the opportunities UW Health affords to advance the field of vascular medicine through clinical trials and access to the latest medical devices.

Outside of work, Dr. Yamanouchi enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
