About

Courtney Boyer, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. Courtney cares for patients who are hospitalized with with kidney problems, including chronic and end-stage kidney disease and genetic kidney disorders. She also cares for patients who require dialysis. She sees patients in the hospital and in the clinic.

For Courtney, patient care is a team activity. There are many different providers that care for a patient while they’re hospitalized. She sees the importance of everyone working together to provide the best care possible and improve overall health outcomes. She enjoys educating her patients on different treatment options and working with them to make the best decisions about their care.

Listening to her patients and understanding their goals is very important to Courtney. Whether the patient wants conservative or aggressive care, she’s able to help them understand the different options as well as their risks and benefits.

In her free time, Courtney enjoys being outside, gardening and traveling in her camper.

My main focus is ensuring that my patient’s treatment plan is in line with their overall goals.
