About

Claire Martins is a doctor of physical therapy and certified neuro specialist (CNS) at UW Health. She offers inpatient and outpatient care for a range of conditions and specializes in caring for people with lower limb loss and Parkinson’s disease.

As an inpatient therapist, Claire prepares patients to leave the hospital and return home by providing instructions, functional mobility training, therapeutic exercises and neurological re-education. Patients under her care include those who have had total joint replacements, spinal surgery and other medical or surgical procedures.

In the outpatient setting, Claire works with orthopedic patients, lung and heart transplant candidates and lower limb amputees.

As a certified neuro specialist (CNS) and a LSVT-BIG certified clinician, Claire skillfully assists Parkinson’s disease patients with their motor functions.

In her free time, Claire enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and supporting her children at their various sporting events.

My own personal experience with a spinal injury is what led me to this field. My goal is to help each patient be as active as possible.
