Chad Ennis, MD

Chad Ennis, MD, is a UW Health otolaryngologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He treats patients of all ages who have a deviated septum, chronic sinus disease or nasal polyps (soft growths inside the sinuses).

As a general otolaryngologist (or ENT, ear, nose and throat specialist), Dr. Ennis diagnoses and treats the full spectrum of conditions affecting the ears, nose and throat. He provides both clinical care and performs surgery. His clinical specialty is nasal surgery.

Dr. Ennis understands that patient care cannot have a one-size-fits-all approach. He recognizes that each patient is different and treatment plans should match each patient’s specific needs. He strongly supports patient education and spends time teaching patients about their condition and how they can keep themselves healthy. He likes to provide more than one treatment option, whether a medication or surgery, and help the patient weigh the benefits and risks of each one.

In his free time, Dr. Ennis enjoys spending time with his kids, playing soccer and swimming.

When I first meet a patient, I like to sit quietly and give them an opportunity to talk. Oftentimes, if I listen to a patient, they tell me exactly what's going on and what I can do to help them.
