Cameron Crockett, MD

Cameron Crockett, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric neurologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He cares for children of all ages, from birth through young adulthood, who have neuromuscular diseases that cause muscle weakness.

Dr. Crockett treats a wide variety of genetic and acquired neuromuscular conditions, including spinal muscular atrophy (muscle weakness and wasting) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy (progressive loss of muscle), as well as other congenital (acquired at birth) diseases.

Dr. Crockett believes in partnering with his patients and their families and using shared decision-making to determine the best care plans for their needs. He listens to their concerns, addresses their questions and learns what’s important to them. He then guides them through the treatment options and supports them throughout their health care journey.

In addition to his clinical practice and teaching role, Dr. Crockett is involved in industry-sponsored clinical trials to find new treatments for pediatric neuromuscular diseases.

In his free time, Dr. Crockett enjoys attending local music concerts.

The most rewarding part of caring for patients is building long-term relationships with them early in life and seeing them grow up to do incredible things.
