About

Brianna Schumacher, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric otolaryngology. Brianna cares for infants, children and teens with a variety of ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders.

Working closely with surgeons, Brianna ensures that patients receive comprehensive care. She diagnoses and treats conditions such as ear infections, blocked nasal passages and snoring.

As part of a multispecialty craniofacial (face and skull) clinic team, Brianna evaluates children with conditions such as cleft lip and cleft palate. She’s also a lactation counselor with expertise in tongue-tie (tissues that restrict tongue movement) and other birth defects that affect breastfeeding.

Brianna performs in-office procedures such as tongue- and lip-tie releases in newborns, ear cleanings and foreign-body removal. She also offers nasal endoscopy — a diagnostic technique to view nasal and sinus passages.

Brianna works with patients and families to help them achieve treatment goals. She puts young children at ease and connects with teens at their level. She ensures that families get the attention and care that they need.

Outside of work, Brianna enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter and their family’s cat.

I love working with families, taking care of children and helping them to feel better.
