Anna Momont, MD, is a UW Health ophthalmologist (eye doctor). She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she serves as the program director for the Ophthalmology Residency Program. Dr. Momont cares for patients with a wide range of eye problems. She specializes in treating individuals with long-lasting conditions that cause partial vision loss or blindness. These conditions include glaucoma (damage to the eye’s optic nerve) and cataracts (cloudy areas in the eye’s lens). She also offers minimally invasive surgical procedures such as laser treatments and cataract surgery. From preserving vision to restoring sight, Dr. Momont strives to improve her patient’s quality of life. She takes time to learn about their interests and expectations and works with them to find treatments that fit their goals. As a lifelong partner to many of her patients, she looks forward to helping them get back to doing what they love. Dr. Momont conducts research focused on new glaucoma therapies. Outside of work, Dr. Momont enjoys spending time with her family hiking, traveling and watching soccer. I strive to help my patients get the most out of their treatments so they can keep doing what they love.
