About

Andrew Ross, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in musculoskeletal (affecting muscles, joints, ligaments and bones) imaging and intervention.

Dr. Ross evaluates and diagnoses a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, trauma or injury, tumors and arthritis. He has a clinical and research interest in reducing the amount of time it takes to complete scans while still providing high-quality images.

Helping his patients feel comfortable is an important part of Dr. Ross’ care philosophy. He strives to establish trust and confidence through open communication and education about the imaging process. He wants his patients to feel good about the care they are receiving in a potentially stressful environment. Dr. Ross finds that giving his patients a sense of control during a procedure helps the situation become more tolerable for them.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ross enjoys mountain biking, road biking, woodworking and playing the guitar.

My hope for our patients is that we can help them live their healthiest lives possible.
