Acerca de

Allyson Impallomeni, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric neurologist who specializes in epilepsy and other brain-related conditions in children. She treats kids with seizures, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies, autism, neurogenetic disorders, and other neurological concerns. Her work focuses on helping children with complex medical needs and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Dr. Impallomeni has a strong interest in understanding how the brain develops, especially in children with autism and genetic conditions that affect the nervous system. She believes in early intervention and working with a team of specialists to give each child the best care possible.

Her approach to patient care is thoughtful and personal. She takes time to understand each child’s physical, emotional, and social needs. She uses proven medical research to guide her decisions but also values careful observation and learning over time. She believes treatment should be focused and meaningful, not overwhelming or unnecessary. Her goal is to build trust with families and create care plans that are realistic and helpful.

Dr. Impallomeni is also an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Neurology where she does research to improve care for children with epilepsy. She studies how epilepsy affects quality of life and how it may be linked to autism.
