Allison Plummer, LCSW, is a UW Health licensed social worker. She treats patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and substance abuse disorder. Allison also cares for people struggling with grief, loss, stress and life transitions.
Allison has a special interest in trauma-informed care (TIC) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
She knows recovery is possible because she has witnessed many people make incredible transformations. Allison is a resource and a guide for patients as they make changes in their lives. She believes collaboration with patients is an important part of the recovery journey.
In her free time, Allison enjoys staying active by cycling, swimming, teaching yoga and walking her dogs in parks.
I believe patients are the experts on their lives, and together, we can figure out the best way for them to achieve their goals and live with peace.
