Alane Curry, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist. She sees patients who have been diagnosed with cancers of the breast, blood, colon, head and neck, lung, prostate and pelvic region. Alane works to minimize or prevent the side effects of cancer treatment. She meets with patients before, during and after treatment.
Alane treats joint pain, decreased mobility, balance and gait disorders, weakness, fatigue, lymphedema (swelling) and cording (uncomfortable bands of tissue in the armpit). She also treats neuropathy (pain or numbness), eating and swallowing difficulties, jaw dysfunction, spine issues and other conditions.
Alane helps patients improve their strength and regain their quality of life. She believes it’s important to show people how to take an active role in their recovery.
She is dedicated to excellent patient care. Alane has earned special certifications through the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute (PORi) and STEEL. The STEEL program is designed to improve the lives of men with cancer.
During her free time, Alane enjoys cycling, boating, water sports, pickleball and spending time with family, friends and her dogs.
I enjoy helping patients along their treatment journey—working to increase their strength and help them return to their activities to the best of their ability.
