Ahmad Mourad, MD, is a UW Health allergist and immunologist. He cares for children and adults with allergies and immune system conditions.

Dr. Mourad treats seasonal and year-round allergies, also called hay fever, asthma, food allergies, medication allergies, eczema, hives and swelling. He also cares for sinus allergies, allergic eye disease, insect sting allergies and severe allergic reactions, often called anaphylaxis. He evaluates and treats people with recurrent infections and immune system disorders. He offers advanced therapies such as allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots), biologic medications for severe asthma, eczema and chronic hives and oral immunotherapy for food allergies.

Dr. Mourad chose medicine because he wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day. He focuses on finding the underlying cause when possible, not just treating symptoms. He builds personalized, evidence-based care plans that fit each patient’s needs and lifestyle, with a focus on trust, open communication and long-term relationships.

Dr. Mourad has been an investigator in clinical research studies on hereditary angioedema, a rare condition that causes episodes of severe swelling in different parts of the body. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new places, reading and learning about history, economics and personal development.
