Seth Williams, MD

Seth Williams, MD, is a UW Health orthopedic surgeon and an associate professor  in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery.

Dr. Williams sees patients diagnosed with various spinal conditions. These range from straightforward problems like herniated discs to complex issues, including scoliosis (abnormal spine curve), deformities, fractures and tumors. He uses minimally invasive techniques to treat a broad spectrum of cervical (neck), lumbar (lower back) and thoracic (middle back) spine conditions.

Understanding that he meets people in their most difficult moments, Dr. Williams strives to empower his patients through confidence and knowledge. He encourages his patients to bring him their questions and concerns and helps them find solutions that fit their unique needs. He collaborates with his team to ensure that his patients receive continuous support throughout every step of their treatment.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Williams researches ways to improve postoperative pain management. He also investigates the safety and effectiveness of new minimally invasive spine procedures.

In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys fishing and bicycling.

I strive to make a dramatic difference in people’s lives. My goal is to ensure that my patients receive the best possible care.
