About

Michael Harlowe, OTR/L, is a pediatric occupational therapist at UW Health as well as a pediatric rehabilitation therapy manager. He supports children with a variety of behavioral and physical conditions, including autism, neuromuscular disorders and brachial plexus injuries.

Michael is particularly interested in the use of play-based interventions to support total family engagement and wellness. He believes that patients have the best outcomes when their families, as a whole, are supported.

Being a medical provider allows Michael to exercise his creativity in a way that serves and supports others. He finds the variety of problem-solving experiences that he has with families extremely rewarding.

Outside his practice, Michael has a wide array of interests. He's an avid Nordic cross-country skate skier and also coaches kids in the sport. In the summer, Michael spends a lot of his free time boating, biking and long-distance skateboarding.

As an occupational therapist, it is my role to support daily function in meaningful activities.
