About
Elliott Russell, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in interventional radiology, a field that uses imaging tools to perform minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Russell treats a wide variety of conditions, both non-cancerous and cancerous, in outpatient and inpatient settings. His work is not limited to one part of the body. Instead, he focuses on how procedures are done—using images to guide small tools inside the body. He is especially interested in providing excellent care, teaching medical residents, and helping more people access interventional radiology services.
Dr. Russell believes in making a positive difference in each patient’s healthcare journey. He understands that many of the conditions he treats have several treatment options. That’s why he works closely with patients to find the best plan based on their personal goals and preferences. He wants every patient to feel heard and supported, especially when they are new to his care.
Outside of work, Dr. Russell enjoys being involved in medical education and helping train future doctors. He also cares deeply about making sure more people can benefit from the services offered in his field.
Like many of my colleagues, I hope to have a positive impact on patients' experiences and outcomes throughout their complex healthcare journey.
