Benjamin Tellier, PA

Benjamin Tellier, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in infectious diseases.

Benjamin treats patients in the hospital with serious infections that require long-term care. He helps patients manage hard-to-treat bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections. These include respiratory (breathing) illnesses like pneumonia, bacterial infections like tuberculosis, skin infections and viral diseases such as HIV.

When a family member admitted they avoided asking questions about their health out of fear of judgment, Benjamin knew he wanted to make a difference. He encourages his patients to share what they know about their condition so he can meet them at their level of understanding. Benjamin empowers patients on their recovery journey by providing additional information and ongoing support.

I love learning from my patients. I meet them where they are and fill in any missing information, so they know what is happening and what to expect.
