About

Andrea Fulcomer, PA is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in family medicine. She cares for patients of all ages and enjoys being part of a team that supports the health of individuals and families in the community. Her training and experience in family medicine allow her to guide patients through many stages of life, from childhood through older adulthood.

In her work, Andrea helps people with a wide range of health needs. She treats common acute concerns such as colds, upper respiratory infections, strep throat, and minor injuries like sprains and strains. She also cares for chronic conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Andrea has a strong interest in preventive care and believes that taking steps to stay healthy can make a big difference in a person’s long-term well-being. She enjoys helping patients find ways to improve their lifestyle habits so they can prevent disease before it starts.

Andrea approaches patient care as a true partnership. She values shared decision making, where patients and providers work together to create a plan that fits the patient’s needs and goals. Listening is an important part of her work, and she believes patients know their bodies best. She aims to help people feel heard, supported, and understood at every visit. Andrea also works closely with her clinic team, including pharmacy and behavioral health colleagues, to provide care that is thoughtful, coordinated, and compassionate.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time on activities that help her relax and recharge. She likes to read every day and finds it to be a helpful mental break. She also enjoys baking and taking daily walks with her five-year-old Goldendoodle. Time with family and friends is especially important to her, and she values the balance these connections bring to her life.
