Amanda Beard, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist. She treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions that affect muscles, bones, joints and soft tissues. Amanda helps patients who are recovering from surgery as well as patients with sports injuries and other conditions. She treats chronic (ongoing) and acute (sudden) pain, injuries and disorders that can affect the upper or lower body.   By educating patients about their condition, therapies and treatment goals, Amanda guides them toward targeted milestones. She combines principles of anatomy, therapeutic techniques and biomechanics (body mechanics, including movement, structure and function). By applying these principles, Amanda helps patients recover, improve function and avoid future injuries.   Amanda enhances patients’ mobility and overall quality of life. She accomplishes treatment goals through complete care that’s focused on each patient’s unique care needs and goals.  I’m dedicated to educating patients and fostering long-term wellness through compassionate, patient-centered care.
