About
Amanda Acosta, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in obstetrics and gynecology. She treats pregnant patients and those with female reproductive health concerns. She typically sees patients concerning menstruation, contraception education and management, sexual wellness and prenatal care. Amanda has a special clinical interest in providing care to teenage and Latino patients.
Amanda strives to develop a comfortable atmosphere and trusting partnership with her patients. She educates them about reproductive and preventive wellness, empowering them to make the most informed decisions for their care.
Outside the clinic, Amanda researches the effects of culturally specific nutritional education on pregnant Latino patients. She works with them to develop healthy, culturally focused meal plans to minimize high-risk pregnancies. She helps her patients reduce excessive pregnancy weight gain and the likelihood of developing prenatal complications.
My patient care philosophy is to create a trusting partnership with patients, encompassing gynecologic health across their lifespan.
