Donate Life Wisconsin was recently awarded two Donate Life America (DLA) Pinnacle Awards. The Pinnacles recognize efforts to increase the number of registered donors and/or work to advance a culture where donation is embraced as a fundamental human responsibility. This year DLA received more than 40 submissions from more than 30 organizations across the United States in eight categories. Programs were judged based on: goals/objectives, execution, Donate Life branding, replicability and results/ROI.
The awards were presented in October at the National Donate Life America conference in Richmond, VA. Ten awards were presented, with Donate Life Wisconsin (DLW) the only organization to win two Pinnacle Awards.
Kathy Schultz and Pam Kassner, members of the DLW marketing committee, accepted an award in the ROI category for their program Minority Zip Code Geo-Targeted Paid Mobile Media Campaign. This campaign focused on registering more people through geo-targeted advertisements delivered to mobile phones.
Mary Nachreiner and Carol Hay, members of the DLW Department of Motor Vehicles committee, accepted the DMV award for their DMV Donor Registration Awareness Campaign. This campaign created new education opportunities for DMV staff; as well as the new I Said Yes donor registry materials presently placed in Wisconsin’s 92 DMVs.
Both programs were also presented to conference attendees as best-practices, allowing other states the opportunity to apply the skills that Wisconsin used in their programs.
