Director of Advanced Practice Providers Rhonda Hoyer
Thank you for your interest in UW Health.
We are proud to employ nearly 400 nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives at our top-ranked health care institution in Wisconsin and the nation. Our practices span Dane County and the surrounding region with primary care, specialty ambulatory care and inpatient services provided at UW Health hospitals and clinics, and many outreach locations.
Our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) participate in advancing our mission by
- Serving an essential role in providing exceptional care for our patients
- Teaching the next generation of learners
- Promoting health in our communities
As director of APPs and a nurse practitioner myself, it is my role to enhance, optimize and strengthen the roles and relationships of APPs with our patients, physician partners and the organization. It is my personal goal to ensure that each of our APPs has a satisfying work environment that is fulfilling, clinically challenging, and allows their skills to be fully optimized in meeting the needs of our patients and health care team.
As an academic institution, UW Health also provides opportunities to grow professionally through scholarly inquiry, continuous learning, mentoring the next generation of APPs and leadership. We also have a rich culture for advanced practice professionalism through multiple committees, professional networking, awards and recognition, and learning opportunities.
Beginning a new position is always a significant transition full of new challenges and opportunities. You have made an excellent choice to visit our website and explore what UW Health APPs experience as part of a collaborative health care team.
