Construction Begins on UW Health Fort Atkinson Clinic

Madison, Wisconsin - Groundbreaking for an environmentally-friendly and efficient UW Health Family Medicine Clinic in Fort Atkinson is set for Thursday, April 30 at 4:30p.m.

The site of the new clinic is off highways 12 and 26 in Fort Atkinson.

The innovative clinic will have up to 11 family medicine providers, along with radiology and laboratory services.

The care team will use a patient-centered team approach to improve quality and patient outcomes.

The new-concept design will separate the public spaces in the front of the clinic from the health care team's private area in the back of the clinic. Exam rooms are dual access, with the patient entering one door and the provider coming into the room from a separate door connected to the health care team's work area.

The design also includes huddle areas for providers in the health care team’s work space for better communication, efficiency and functionality.

The 19,000-square-foot clinic is scheduled to open in February, 2016.
