Meet Our New Jeune Skin Care Aesthetician: Danielle Kalscheur
Please join us in welcoming our new UW Health Transformations Jeune Skin Care aesthetician, Danielle Kalscheur (pictured, left).
Danielle is a licensed aesthetician with 8 years of dedicated training and experience in advanced skin care treatments. She specializes in microdermabrasion, glycolic, lactic and retinoic acid peels, facials and laser hair removal. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Edgewood College.

Q. What's the best skin care tip you've ever given or received?
A. Sunscreen, sunscreen, every day! (And no, your makeup doesn't count.) Eighty percent of aging is caused by sun exposure - protect your skin and don't forget your neck and hands.
Q. What skin care product or regimen can you not live without?
A. Serums! The major benefits of serums are that they offer the most lightweight formula and give the most intensive results. SkinCeuticals Vitamin C or SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum are great serums to help with wrinkles, skin tone and texture, and to stimulate collagen.
Q. What's the most common skin care question you get from your clients?
A. "I am very busy and need to keep my routine simple. What are the necessities?"
Your skin care routine doesn't need to be complicated, but keep in mind our skin is our body's largest organ and we need to protect and take care of it. Three simple steps would include a cleanser, serum and sunscreen of at least 30 SPF (certain sunscreens now can also be your moisturizer).
Q. Fall is here and in full swing – what's your best advice for staying beautiful as the weather transitions?
A. Drinking water and staying hydrated will show in your skin and especially as the weather changes. Each person is supposed to drink half their body weight in water, which we all don't tend to do. Using a product with hyaluronic acid, such as SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel, will help hydrate the skin and help repair skin tissue. Also, add a lemon to your water to help get your daily intake in.
