Do I Really Need an Eye Cream?
Skin care advice from the experts at UW Health Transformations Jeune Skin Care:
With so many eye products on the market, it can be hard to choose one - and as skin care aestheticians, we're often asked: "Do I really need an eye cream? Why can't I just use my facial moisturizer?"
Eye creams are formulated for delicate skin around the eye area. The skin under our eyes starts to become thinner as we age, resulting in wrinkling, bagging and sagging. It becomes more fragile, prone to dryness, quicker to show age and fatigue. Squinting and constant movement of the eyes starts to create lines and wrinkles. When fluids collect under the eyes, it causes puffiness and dark circles.
At UW Health Transformations Jeune Skin Care, we offer a variety of eye creams to address some of these issues:
Teamine Eye Complex
Key Ingredients: Vitamin C, Phytonadione (Vitamin K), Mica, Silica and Titanium Dioxide, 1, 3 Beta-Glucan, Peptide Complex
The combination of these ingredients helps address dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, brightness and dry skin, and calms and soothes the area.
SkinMedica TNS Eye Repair
Key Ingredients: Growth factor blend, TNS (a patented treatment)
These ingredients help to improve the overall appearance of skin around the eyes.
SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex
Key Ingredients: Complex of Flavonoids and Synergistic Peptides, Blueberry Extract, Proxylane
Diminishes the appearance of dark circles and reinforces firmness and tone. Diminishes under-eye bags and protects healthy, non-glycated collagen from breakdown.
