About the Pleasant T. Rowland Transplant Clinic

Our beautiful new state-of-the-art transplant clinic was built to honor our commitment to patient-centered care. We’ve brought together the full spectrum of adult transplant services in a modern, convenient location just inside the University Hospital Clinics Entrance, just steps away from parking and valet services.

The clinic is aligned to serve the special needs of adults who are being evaluated for, or have received a transplant, and those who give the gift of life through living organ donation.

Services for these programs are located within the new transplant clinic:

  • Heart transplant

  • Kidney transplant and delayed graft function

  • Kidney/pancreas transplant

  • Liver transplant

  • Living kidney donation for directed and non-directed donors

  • Living liver donation for directed and non-directed donors

  • Lung transplant

  • Pancreas transplant and total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplant

  • Renal autotransplant

  • Multi-organ transplant

To limit the need to travel within the hospital, these services are now provided within the new transplant clinic:

  • Abdominal biopsies

  • ECG

  • Echo and echo guided heart biopsy

  • FibroScan

  • Preoperative care for living donors and recipients

  • Alaris interoperability and barcode medication administration for safer medication administration practices

  • eSynch digital boards that help coordinate patient and provider workflows
