August 5-6: Journey to Magnet Excellence

Excellence is a journey. Discover ways to take your nursing practice to the next level using criteria from the newly released 2014 Magnet® Application Manual. This two-day workshop guides you through the Journey to Magnet Excellence®, including a comprehensive overview of the Magnet® Model components. It will outline the application process and share tips for effective written documentation and data display. Course content aligned with new 2014 Magnet® Application Manual.

Details: 14 contact hours. $505 per person, $475 host rate. Continental breakfast and registration from 7-8am both days.

August 7: Creating a Culture of Inquiry: Evidence-Based Practice & Research

Creating a Culture of Inquiry: Evidence-Based Practice & Research (EBP) is internationally acclaimed as the gold standard for delivering the highest quality care. Research helps nurses answer their best practice questions through a systematic and scientific process. Learn in-depth information about EBP and research processes to facilitate a culture of inquiry in your organization. This workshop focuses on establishing a spirit of clinical inquiry, through a better understanding of EBP and research processes for improved care delivery, patient outcomes and/or work environment.

Details: 7.25 contact hours, $305 per person, $275 host rate. Continental breakfast and registration from 7:30-8am.

 

Workshops are taught by members of the ANCC. The "Journey to Magnet Excellence" workshop will include a panel presentation from members of UW Hospital and Clinics.
