UW Health partners with Amwell Medical Group to provide you with 24/7 urgent care coverage.
Depending on the time that you use Care Anywhere, you could see a UW Health provider or an Amwell provider. UW Health providers can be identified by the UW Health logo that is visible on their profile photo.
When you use Care Anywhere between the hours of 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday–Sunday, the service is typically staffed by UW Health providers.
Outside of those hours, the service is staffed by Amwell physicians. You will still receive the same excellent care you expect from UW Health regardless of when you use the tool. However, there could be some differences in billing, including:
Insured patients: Claims will be submitted to the insurance company and co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance will be billed to the patient as determined by the payer. Financial assistance is available to patients who qualify.
Uninsured/self-pay patients: Maximum out-of-pocket cost will be $64. Financial assistance is available to patients who qualify.
Quartz patients: Claims will be submitted to the insurance company and co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance will be billed to the patient as determined by the payer.
All other patients: Pre-payment of $64 is required prior to the visit.
If you were seen by an Amwell Medical Group provider and would like to submit your payment for reimbursement, download the claim receipt from your account in UW Health Care Anywhere and follow your insurance company's policy for reimbursement submissions.
