Shannon Anderson, NP

Shannon Anderson, NP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. Shannon provides care for people of all ages, focusing on holistic care.

Her special interests include LGBTQIA+ health, gender-affirming care, menopause-related care and gynecologic conditions, which affect the female reproductive system. She also has extensive experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders.

Shannon takes a collaborative approach to care. She sees the patient-provider relationship as a cooperative effort. She believes that patients know their bodies best. She sees her role as supporting each person’s journey toward improved physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Shannon guides patients and encourages them to take responsibility for their health decisions. She builds strong relationships with her patients and focuses on providing the best possible care.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and children and walking their black lab. She’s also an aerial circus artist who performs in circus shows in Madison.
