Lea Gardiner, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who specializes in behavioral health. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is board-certified in psychiatric mental health.
Lea specializes in helping older adults with mental health concerns. She focuses on geriatric psychiatry, which means she treats conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mental health issues that affect seniors. She also works with adults of all ages who are dealing with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and anxiety. Her goal is to provide care that fits each person’s needs.
Lea believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. She listens carefully to her patients and works with them to create a care plan that feels right. When meeting a new patient, she takes time to understand their story and what matters most to them. She also works closely with other health care providers and family members to make sure her patients get the best support possible.
Outside of work, Lea enjoys spending time in her community and staying active. She values time with family and friends and likes to explore new ways to stay healthy and balanced. Her caring nature extends beyond the clinic and she enjoys helping others feel connected and supported.
I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for. My goal is to help patients find hope and healing through compassionate, personalized care.
