Acerca de

Chloe Harrington, MD, is a UW Health Kids otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor) and assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Harrington treats hearing loss, ear infections, sleep disordered breathing, nasal congestion, swallowing disorders, congenital anomalies and neck masses. She also performs many procedures, including adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, ear tube placement, airway endoscopy and reconstruction, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy, endoscopic sinus surgery, mastoidectomy, cholesteatoma excision, tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty, cochlear implantation and osseointegrated bone conduction device implantation. Her special interests include pediatric chronic ear disease, hearing rehabilitation, and team-based care for medically complex and critically ill children. She is an ASL speaker and can use ASL directly with patients.

Dr. Harrington chose medicine because she wanted to make a meaningful impact on people in need. Growing up in West Virginia as the daughter of two deaf parents, she often interpreted in ASL at medical visits, which helped her feel at home in health care and shaped her path to caring for children with hearing loss. She values supporting families as they make choices for their child and she respects that some families may not want certain hearing interventions. She believes every child should have access to language in a meaningful way, whether through spoken language, ASL or a combination.
