Ashley Kass, PTA

Ashley Kass, PTA is a UW Health physical therapist assistant.

Ashley treats orthopedic injuries, including bone and muscle problems. She works with people who have both acute, short-term injuries and long-term injuries, also called chronic injuries. She also helps patients with sports injuries and works with older adults.

Ashley chose a career in physical therapy after a knee injury as a teenager. At 15, she tore her right ACL and medial meniscus and went through physical therapy during high school, including care after surgery on her other ACL. She believes in patient centered, evidence based physical therapy that puts safety, function and independence first. She tailors treatment to each patient’s goals, abilities and lifestyle, with a strong focus on education and active participation. Her goal is to restore movement; help prevent injury and build the skills and confidence patients need to keep making progress in daily life.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys listening to music and audiobooks and reading books.
