Free virtual education sessions for prehospital and emergency care providers at all levels.

About the series

Emergency Education Night webinar series

Join us for an engaging, year-long program for EMS and health care professionals. In 2025 we’re adding four special sessions — one each quarter — to explore advanced topics.

Gain lifesaving insights and practical strategies from top experts, covering everything from mass casualty management to advanced trauma care. Stay at the forefront of emergency care—at no cost.

Webinars cover topics including:

  • Disease diagnosis, treatment and management of complex emergencies with major emphasis at prehospital level

  • Common concerns and caregiving options

  • Case studies and interactive discussions

  • New research and developments in the most common pathologies you will observe in your daily practice

  • Registration is free and available to health care providers.

Earn one hour of continuing education unit (CEU) with every live session, eligible for both state and NREMT recertification.

We strongly encourage participation of prehospital providers of all levels, also emergency department RNs and advanced practice providers (PAs, NPs). Physicians and students are also welcome.

Continuing education credits

Earn CEUs

Emergency Education Night is proud to offer continuing education opportunities for EMS and emergency care professionals through our partnership with the University of Wisconsin Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership and through the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) institutional accreditation that we achieved on January 2026.

CAPCE accreditation is an important milestone for the series. For prehospital providers, it means eligible live Emergency Education Night sessions can provide nationally recognized EMS continuing education credit that supports professional development, licensure needs, and ongoing clinical growth.

For UW Health, it reflects our commitment to high quality, accountable, and accessible EMS education that connects field providers, emergency departments, specialty teams, and hospital partners.

At this time, CAPCE credit is available only for attendance at live Emergency Education Night sessions. We are actively working to expand CAPCE credit opportunities to recorded sessions in the future.

Who is joining our sessions

Emergency Education Night continues to grow as a regional learning space for EMS and emergency care professionals. Since launching in 2023, the series has grown from 930 participants to 1,898 participants in 2025, more than doubling its reach, with more than 80 percent returning attendees. This reflects not only continued interest, but trust in the value and consistency of the program.

Prehospital providers remain the heart of our audience, representing the majority of attendees. The series also continues to engage nurses, advanced practice providers, physicians, pharmacists, educators, specialty team members, and other healthcare professionals involved in emergency care.

Participants have joined from across Wisconsin, northern Illinois, the Midwest, other states, and international locations. This expanding reach reflects the shared need for accessible emergency care education that connects field providers, hospital teams, and specialty services.
