Other Conditions With Symptoms Similar to Dupuytren's Disease
Symptoms of
Dupuytren's disease are sometimes similar to those
experienced with other conditions. Your doctor will most likely be
able to find out from a physical exam whether you have Dupuytren's
disease.
Conditions with symptoms similar to those of Dupuytren's
disease can generally be grouped into the following categories:
- A condition in which a person finds it difficult
to bend or straighten the finger called
trigger finger
- Occupation-related
injuries, such as calluses or damage to tissues, muscles, or
tendons

Rheumatoid arthritis conditions, which
inflame the membranes or tissues lining the joints
- Growths in the
muscle, joint, bone, or tissue that may be cancerous (malignant) or
noncancerous (benign)
