Sharon Langer's Knee Replacement Surgery

Sharon Langer underwent knee replacement surgery, performed by Dr. Richard Illgen. Here's her story:

A short e-mail to let you know my wife, Sharon, had a uni knee (unicompartmental partial knee replacement) implanted on May 23. On July 26, Sharon was walking without even a cane on the Great Wall of China (pictured).

We recognize there are many factors that go into a successful outcome, but the bottom line is that, at present, Sharon's bone knee pain is gone.

We know her surgeon, Dr. Richard Illgen, his team and the staff at UW Health were the single most important factor in this successful outcome. He is one of the most conscientious and thorough medical professionals I have ever encountered and placed significant emphasis on therapy as a critical element in Sharon having a successful surgical outcome.

Thank you!

Sincerely, Dan and Sharon Langer
