Sheila Opelt, PA

Sheila Opelt, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in abdominal organ transplant surgery. She provides immediate post-operative and long-term care for patients who have undergone kidney, pancreas or liver transplantation.

Sheila cares for patients in the hospital during their initial post-operative stage immediately following transplantation surgery. She also continues to care for her patients in the months and years following transplantation to manage medical or surgical complications that may occur.

Sheila’s care philosophy is patient focused. She listens to their concerns, answers any questions they may have, and provides education to alleviate their worries and allow them to make informed decisions about their care.
