Joan Hermsen, NP, is a cardiology nurse practitioner at UW Health. In her role, she treats people with heart failure, atrial fibrillation and other heart conditions.  Joan enjoys caring for patients who need follow-up care after hospitalization. In addition, she provides support and education to people with acute and chronic health conditions. Her goal is to empower patients to take an active part in managing their heart disease so they can live a longer, healthier life.  When she’s not working, Joan enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.
