Clinical Information

Provider will need to contact Adaptive Biotechnologies Account Manager to register as a new provider for the University of Wisconsin - Clinical Labs Account.

Once an account is created, an order will need to be placed in Health Link and in the Adaptive Diagnostic Portal: https://diagnostics.adaptivebiotech.com/account/login

Adaptive will need to be notified if archived samples need to be retrieved from a facility outside of UW. 

 

Billing is direct to the patient's insurance or the patient. This is done directly by Adaptive Biotechnologies. UW will not bill institutionally for the testing exept in *CTCL cases.

 

*CTCL cases: HL order is placed and clinician needs to email Lab-CoreCommercialLabs@uwhealth.org or call 608-262-6388 to notify send-outs of the order. The UW PA group will reach out to the clinician with the approval or denial and if an ABN is needed. Any ABNs are attached to the Referral and need to be reviewed with the patient and signed prior to testing.

Collection Requirements
Collection Instructions

Fresh Peripheral Blood (non-DLBCL patients) "LAV EDTA": >2 mL in EDTA tube. Ship overnight for next day 10:30 AM PT delivery. If same-day shipment is not an option, store specimen refrigerated. Fresh specimens stored at ambient temperature should arrive at Adaptive within 4 days of collection, specimens stored refrigerated should arrive at Adaptive within 7 days of collection

Fresh Peripheral Blood (DLBCL patients) "CLONOSEQ" container - must be drawn at UW Hospital, contact Client Services at 263-7060 for the collection tubes: 20 mL (10 mL min) in Clonoseq DLBCL Kit Streck tubes. Ship overnight for next day 10:30 AM PT delivery. If same-day shipment is not an option, store specimen Ambient. Samples are stable for 5 days Ambient.

Fresh Bone Marrow Aspirate: At least 1 mL in EDTA tube. Do NOT send syringes.

Cell Pellets: 1 million cells. Ship overnight on dry ice Mon-Thurs only, for next day 10:30 AM PT delivery.

Cell Suspensions: >1 million cells. Approximate cell count required.

Interpretation
