UW Health at The American Center is a unique health and wellness facility on the east side of Madison that features a Learning Kitchen, where you can learn how to prepare delicious meals that support your healthy lifestyle.
The Learning Kitchen
The Learning Kitchen at UW Health at The American Center is a fully-equipped classroom kitchen that is led by culinary and health care professionals who offer a wide variety of cooking classes for our community and our patients.
Our Facility
The Learning Kitchen includes:
- Fully equipped kitchen, with a four-top gas range with flattop and oven, refrigerator, microwave oven and a full set of cooking supplies
- Three flat-screen monitors mounted above the demonstration area, providing attendees close viewing opportunities for both the cooking surfaces and preparation areas.
- Space for 50 attendees for cooking demonstrations and space for 20 attendees for hands-on activities.
