For Referring MDs
The UW Lung Cancer Program at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center bring physicians from medical oncology, thoracic surgical oncology, radiation oncology and interventional pulmonology together to provide individualized treatments for patients with lung cancer.
Our lung cancer specialists take a team approach to treat patients with:
- Small cell lung cancer
- Non-small cell lung cancer
- Mesothelioma
- Bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC)
- Other lung-related malignancies
The UW Carbone Cancer Center is a world leader in lung cancer research. We are active nationally in the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, and the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, through which we participate in national multi-center clinical trials that are funded by the National Cancer Institute. Our center also offers clinical trials that are funded directly by the NCI or industry sponsors, which are often unique to our cancer center.
