About Urgent Care Wait Times

Urgent care wait times display on when urgent care clinics are open.

Urgent Care wait times are an estimation of the amount of time it will take between a patient registering at an Urgent Care clinic and being escorted to a room to be seen by a provider. The electronic health system calculates this time for every patient and updates the website automatically.

Please note that there are times when patients are moved to rooms very quickly because of their presenting conditions, and that can impact wait time estimations. Additionally, situations can change quickly in Urgent Care clinics. If a patient checks the wait time at home and then drives to the clinic, several patients may have arrived during that time, affecting the estimated wait time.

Once a patient arrives at an Urgent Care clinic and checks in, the estimated wait times displayed on the TV screens might be different than those listed on the website. The wait times on those monitors likely will be more accurate, as they are manually updated by clinic staff based on urgency and volume.
