If you’ve personally experienced an organ transplant or are a living donor, you can assist others by sharing your story. Through vehicles like the Internet, newspapers and printed materials, the UW Health Transplant team shares transplant patient experiences to both increase awareness about the need for organ donation and to help other transplant patients and their families prepare for their own transplant.
The UW Health Transplant team is inviting you to share the story of your transplant or living donation by writing a patient testimonial. Through your own words you can share your thoughts and feelings about your experience - how it has changed your life, the people who assisted you in the process and how your story unfolded. Most patient testimonials are 150-200 words, but we encourage you to write as little or as much as you would like. We will assist you with editing, using only first names of patients and, if you like, will include a photograph with your story.
