Living Organ Donation at UW Health
At UW Health Transplant Program, we honor living donors for their ultimate act of giving. Living organ donation happens when a living person gives one of his or her kidneys, or a portion of the liver, to someone else who needs a transplant. Living donors save the life of their recipient and reduce the number of people on the deceased donor wait list.
Our living donation education materials will introduce you to living donation, explain donation options, help people find a living donor and share ways anyone can champion living donation.
