Our Research Park facility includes fitness and aquatic centers, as well as open space that can be used for rehabilitation programs.Our Sports Rehabilitation at Research Park treatment regimen begins with a comprehensive physical evaluation and a detailed assessment of your injury. You will work with a physical therapist and athletic trainer who will design a rehabilitation program to fit your specific needs and goals. In addition to the rehabilitation program we develop, your treatment program will include exercises to help you reduce the likelihood for re-injury when you resume your favorite sport. 


Our Research Park facility is equipped with:

  • A full Fitness Center, 
  • An Aquatic Center with a lap pool, warm water pool and a multi-camera, overwater/underwater stroke view system
  • A cycling power tap
  • Dartfish video analysis system
  • Pilates reformer
  • Biodex isokinetic testing system
  • Biomechanics lab with eight-camera 3-D motion capture system

Our rehabilitation staff has access to the 13,000 square-feet of Field Turf™ at our American Center facility.UW Health Sports Medicine's staff of physical therapists and athletic trainers is skilled in rehabilitating orthopedic injuries sustained by competitive and recreational athletes. Our state-of-the-art facility at UW Health at The American Center includes:

  • 22,000 square-feet of indoor sports performance space
  • 13,000 square-feet of Field Turf™
  • 2,100 square-foot outdoor medicine ball training space and medicine ball wall
  • Center for Sports Movement, equipped to assess runners, golfers, cyclists, throwers, jumpers and ACL return-to-sport athletes
