UW Health at The American Center features a state-of-the-art sports medicine and athletic training facility that is unique in the state in the way it helps athletes become stronger, faster and better athletes.

About Our Facility

 

Our state-of-the-art facility includes:

 

  • 22,000 square-feet of indoor sports performance space
  • 13,000 square-feet of Field Turf™
  • 2,100 square-foot outdoor medicine ball training space and medicine ball wall
  • Center for Sports Movement, equipped to assess runners, golfers, cyclists, throwers, jumpers and ACL return-to-sport athletes
  • Eight-camera, 3-D movement evaluation and 2-D video assessment
  • In-ground force plates
  • Cycle-fit
  • Racermate power assessment for cyclists
  • TRX training area
  • Full, high school-regulation basketball/volleyball court
  • Four-lane, high-energy sprint track
  • Four-lane lap pool with reaction time starting blocks, with multi-view, under/above water camera system with large-playback flat screen monitor
  • Outdoor acceleration/deceleration field
  • Indoor, drop-down netting on field turf for baseball, softball, lacrosse, golf and more
  • Dedicated strength development area
  • Titleist Performance Institute – K-vest 3D swing analysis
  • Outdoor sand agility training area
