Conditions and treatments

Conditions affecting the kidneys

Healthy kidneys filter waste and water from the blood to create urine. If kidneys are damaged, they can’t work correctly. Over time, this can lead to kidney disease.

Children can be born with a kidney condition or develop one as they age.

Experience with a wide range of conditions

Some kidney conditions, such as kidney stones and urinary tract infections, are common and easily treatable. Others are rare or more complex to treat.
