Black Beans and Rice


  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1-14 ounce can, no salt added black beans with liquid
  • 1 garlic glove, minced or pressed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper (pinch)
  • Cayenne pepper (pinch)


  1. In a medium pan, combine rice and beans over medium heat. Season with garlic, salt, pepper and cayenne. Simmer for 10 minutes or until warmed through. Makes four ¾-cup servings.
