About

Dr. Zachary Morris is a radiation oncologist and vice chair of the Department of Human Oncology. He also serves as program director for the University of Wisconsin Bentson Translational Research Fellowship. Dr. Morris’s current clinical focus is on the treatment of patients with bone or soft tissue sarcoma, melanoma, or other skin cancers.

Dr. Morris is an active member of ASTRO, ASCO, ACR, AACR, Radiation Research Society, and the Society for Immunotherapy in Cancer (SITC). He co-Chairs the Sarcoma Clinical Trial Working Group for the Big Ten Cancer Research Network and also co-leads the National Cancer Institute’s Radiation-Immunotherapy Working Group.

I have the privilege of caring for cancer patients, but I also have the opportunity to conduct research to try and improve what we do. For me personally, those are connected. I want to be there with patients to help them through challenging times using the tools that we have, but I also want to be a part of the process to develop better approaches.
